Italian By Blood grew directly out of our own Italian citizenship by descent journey — researching family lineage, gathering records, and reconnecting with an ancestral identity that never fully disappeared.

What started as a personal process gradually revealed something larger: how many people across the Italian diaspora carry a lasting connection to Italy, generations after their families first left.

This collection explores that relationship — between ancestry, heritage, migration, memory, and belonging — especially for those pursuing or considering Italian citizenship through descent.

For some, that connection is the whole story — a way to carry Italian identity forward, wherever in Italy it traces back to. For others, it's a door: a first step toward something more specific. A region. A name. Eventually, a village.

Either way, it's part of the same project.
